    Morning Dave, I’ve subscribed to your channel. I just wanted to ask which of the range of pastel pencils you would recommend for pastel portraits and pet portraits, for people that are on a limited income and can’t afford to buy all the sets you mention. Thanks for showing what you do. Please have a thought for those struggling with serious priority choices. I’m not criticising. I’m grateful for what you do.

    I’ve searched all of UA-cam for tutorials. Your work is phenomenal and the amount one can learn from just these short videos is incredible. Too bad you can’t teach me patience lol. Even though it takes me weeks to do a picture I feel I still rush through it.

      Hello there, I would recommend Winsor and Newton Winton Student quality paint. This brand has great quality pigment but add fills to it. because it is for student so keeping the price down 🙏😊

      @@aduf2002 never used that brand of paint before so unfortunately can't really comment...I would check a few forums or reviews on Google before purchasing them. I have used watercolour paper, paint brushes from that brand with no probs... but not sure about their paint.

I bought pastel pencils but they don't behave live any apstel pencils I have ever seen before 🗿 especially the white one, it just gets mixed with the color below it in a horrible way. I don't know if the pencils are bad or I'm not good even though I am following your steps

      @@DavePortersArt It's a Chinese product named "Keep Smiling" ☠Tbh I returned the pastel pencils to the store today, they're bad and I also realized that I was not using the right sketch pad. Brands with good quality are not affordable in my region unfortunately.
